“Next up were Leeds based funk rock outfit The Creeks, whose frontman energetically paced across the stage, decked out in a bandana. With screaming AC/DC style vocals accompanied by a sound stuck somewhere between RATM and Guns And Roses, the band were tight and displayed strong song writing skills. Each song rose and fell, providing a pleasing use of dynamics and some interesting bass flourishes to go along with it.”

The Creeks are through to the Vega Promotions Battle of the Bands Final at the Black Flag Warehouse in Wakefield.

This may be our last gig of 2011, so make sure you come down and show your support!

We’re always asking for support, and you are always there! A big thank you to everyone who made an effort to come and support The Creeks at the last BBC Introducing Event!

It’s nearly Christmas and we’re all skint, so instead of buying us all a present get yourself a ticket for the Battle of the Bands Final (they’re only £3)! Contact the band if you would like tickets.

This gig is being recorded and filmed for BBC Introducing and the BBC big screens in the north.

Alan Raw (BBC Introducing) is DJ’ing the event and any bands/artists who bring a demo will get them played during his set, he will then have a copy he may play on his two BBC Introducing shows.

The Creeks played stonking set this Friday to win a place in the Battle of the Bands Final at the 1000-capacity Black Flag venue in Wakefield.

The final winner gets £500 and the top 3 bands will be given support slots with major artists at the Black Flag. We will be posting the date of this final soon!
